Dear fellow SK Fans,

I have been searching for a story I read over 10 years ago. It is written in one of SK's short stories, but I can't recall which one or the name. It goes something like this: It is written as a first person narrative from at least 3 or 4 perspectives. It is about a prank gone wrong. The author sees his girlfriend being kidnapped in a car. He struggles to save her but can't. He searches for a long time to find her. Turns out it was her brother and/or friends who were playing a practical joke. He hunts them down one at a time and kills them. Finally he meets his girlfriend and is so mad that he kills her for real for making him into a killer. Now the story is written from the angle of the killer, the girlfriend, the brother, and another kidnapper. Does anyone know which story this is and which book I can find this in? Thanks!!!

Doesn't sound like any King short story I'm familiar with.

I don't think it's a King story as well, not one that I've read anyway (and I was under the assumption I read them all). But of course he has written many short ones for varied journals over the years so maybe this one slipped by. Maybe Ms. Mod has an idea

It isn't ringing any bells for me either.

There is also another writer that goes by the name Stephen King, or Stephen A. King, I think thats it. And his books are in the horror section at the book store near my house, so the story you're thinking of could be his.
