THE EYES OF THE DRAGON is one of the few Sai King outings that I haven't read. For some reason, I keep avoiding it. I know one day that it will call me, but until then I've put it on the backburner.

However, I have a friend that swears by the book. Strangely, it's the only King book that he's read. Hmm.

I've purposefully avoided the spoiler threads in this forum, so I hate if I've trod over well-walked ground.

I waited a long time to read Eyes of the Dragon as well. A few years ago I committed to reading through every SK book whether I had already read it or not. I kept putting off this one along with The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon and Colorado Kid. I wish I hadn't.

Eyes of the Dragon is a really good book. The story hooked me early on and I was pleasantly surprised to find a character or two from other SK works. Don't put it off any longer. You might be pleasantly surprised.

The Eyes of the Dragon is a great book. I felt like I was reading a fairy tale when reading it ... it has that medieval air about it.

I am the same way. I have been puttin that book off for a while now and I think its because it doesnt have that "scary" factor to it, that i think. Who knows it could be one of his best books and we are missing out on it.

I really enjoyed Eyes of the Dragon, and yes it did seem sort of like a fairytale!

"Eyes of the Dragon" just goes to show you the range in which Stephen is able to write. "Insomnia" wasn't scary at all, but it was a great read. I don't consider "Bag of Bones" scary either, but that has to be one of my favorite books. What I like most about Stephen's books is that they keep me entranced. I often find myself reading his books into the wee hours of the morning taking breaks occasionally so my eyes can refocus. He knows how to spin a good tale.

Eyes of the Dragon is a lot of fun to read. It seemed a lot different than anything else I'd read by King which made it even more enjoyable.

You need to be a real Stephen King Constant Reader to recognize his style in Eyes of The Dragon. Not that it's not a great book: It most certainly is, but it's quite different from the others. It's really like a fairytale for a child, but when you read it as an adult you get darker messages that run through it. Bad isn't completely bad, and good isn't all good.

Read it, I believe you'll enjoy it.

The same happened to me... I only read Eyes of the Dragon when I had nothing else to read, I had read all my unread books at the time... :D
Itīs different but itīs very nice, as all his books are... The only one I donīt like so much is "The Tommyknockers"... I donīt know why, but I couldnīt even finish reading... (sorry, people that like it!)

I can relate; this was one that I put off for a long time as well. I thought "knights, castles, dragons? Not so sure about this..." But it really is a great story and a very engaging read. Once I gave it a fair shot, I think I was hooked within the first 10 pages. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

I have loved this story for a long time. I actually read it aloud to my kids for a bedtime story!

This is one of my favorite King books. Do yourself a favor and take it off your back-burner.

It's different, definitely... but no less of a page turner and no less engrossing. Enjoy!
