Just Ordered DT 1-6

I just signed up for the Doubleday Book Club! The Dark Tower Volumes 1 through 6 should be arriving soon and I am excited about beginning the long journey! I know that volume one, "The Gunslinger", has been expanded since its original release. Do any of you have any suggestions or bits of knowledge before I get started? Thanks.

enjoy the read, kevinrodgers90. i did. four five or six times now. kinda spread out over time. you'll have a blast, i know. curious though. why no dt7? you gunna check out the first 6 before committing to 7? or maybe it's a budget thing. i can understand that. lookin' forward to your take on the stories. and you'll have a blast connecting the story to all the other stuff sk has done. he's one trig pony.

I plan on purchasing DT7 after I get halfway through the series. It wasn't a budget thing. I just wanted to wait until I make it to Wolves of the Calla.
