So I read DK during my hiatus from the board over the summer, at last.

I'm don't know how else to put it other than... SK does it again!

I mean, wow, SK has certainly not lost the ability to suck you into a character and make him/her feel alive, has he?? Another thing, I loved the overall art theme (though I wish I could crank stuff out as fast as SK makes it out!!), I went to 3 different local art galleries after reading this and not only that the book singlehandedly put me back in front of the easel after a long dry spell.

Thanks to Sk for another great one! Now too bad I didn't get the hardback, lol :(

I had a similar reaction to Duma. I was so inspired by the book to get back to my art. Although still not 100% back in the art world, I've been there more after reading Duma.

Hi,

Yes, I agree, apart from DK being a magnificent novel, I think the essays (for want of a better word) 'How To Draw A Picture' are the most incredibly inspiring thoughts, not just for visual artists but for creative work in any media, writing etc.

Long days and pleasant nights
