uhhh .... maybe go to the library?

Hi, I agree with Rjt65.
Libraries are a marvellous resource which people should try and take the time to use more. Or try a second hand store or flee market, you will pick up a copy for next to nothing there. Good luck :smile2:.

None of us would have had any idea of what your background was and I don't think anybody was intending to be rude. It seemed to me that they were offering genuine suggestions that might help you get a copy free or sooner.

...And shipping it will probabely end up costing more than buying a new one or a used one. Mr. King books are let's say... on the heavy side. And I'm suite you can take your 3 year old to the library with you. I always enjoyed going with my own mother and being read to, or just look at the pictures, even way before I could read.
Anyway - good luck. It is a fantastic book and I hope you'll manage to finish it one way or another.

No offense, but you're on a Stephen King message board so of course people are going to be a little reluctant to send a King book to someone they don't know. But here's a suggestion: Go to Amazon.com and type in Needful Things Hardcover. I just bought a used copy of Insomnia on amazon for $4. The shipping was $3.99 so the book was only $0.01! And it's like brand new. I can tell it was either only read once or just handled with care.

I just looked on eBay, and there aer several first edition hardback copies available for a little under seven dollars.

Not trying to sound rude or nothing but it probably takes about the same amount of time to pick it up at the library as it does to pick it up at the post office

I agree with you. Books that are special to a person should be put on a shelf so they can be read or refrenced at any time you choose.

There are quite a few hardcore fans on this site and we save our books as part of a collection and to reread. Sad to say, if there was a fire in my house, I would go for the books first, well right after the husband, I guess:smile2: I see copies of this book in secondhand shops, ebay, garage sales, the library, etc. We are a friendly bunch on this site, but asking for a book from our collection, probably isn't the best idea. I know I have lent books that were never returned and it sucks because then I gotta replace it to complete my collection.

well (sigh) glad that all worked out well. I hope you find you'r book. Hopefully you will post more about the journey to find it... It took me about a month to find my original copy of Dark Tower II, Then on the same day (Christmas) I purchased/found one in a dollar book store then someone very special gave me a copy as a present.. I think because I had hard time finding it (and I looked everyware) that when I actually got the book I cherished them more... I still have both copys and have in the past been asked to give one away, but they are special to me in a way that noone can possably understand... Mayhap thats why you'll have a hard time prying a book from our grubby little fingers....
But please let us know if you get your copy.

I have to agree with everyone... no one willingly parts with their King books. Try Amazon or e-bay for sure. Now my question is... how the heck do you have time for a kid and a dog, let alone time to read if you work 90 hours a week?

I have extra copies of most SK novels...hardbacks to look pretty and softies to read over and over and over... but sorry none to spare. Not to be rude, just honest.

Hi,
I sympathize, because my son also works 90 and 100 hour weeks.
For which he gets paid.
Amazon deliver.

I've sent an email to the address you gave. You might need to check your Junk folder in case it filters it there.

I bought this book 2nd hand at a small market earlier this year and to my horror there are about 80 pages missing near the end (no wonder it was so cheap ;) )! Still haven't got round to replacing it but the ebay idea above is a god one, I'll be having a look on there this morning.
