dark tower movie!

I would really love it if they would make a movie of the dark tower books.Even if it was a made for TV movie like" the stand" that takes several nights to see. I think Hugh Jackman would make the perfect Roland.....

The only character that I can really settle on for who the actor should be is Cort. I picture Brendan Gleesan playing Cort so perfectly, but I really can't settle on a perfect Roland. I think Jada Pinkette-Smith could make a good Susannah.

How about Viggo Mortinsen as Roland? I can totally picture him in the role! Also Jake Gyllenhall as Eddie Dean! I don't know if he's smart-ass or New York enough though. Jada as Susannah makes perfect sense to me!

I picture Detta as the girl that plays Calypso in Pirates of the Carribbean! She's also in Street Kings, and in that movie I can totally see her as Susannah. Her name is Naomie Harris.
And this is kind of funny to me, but while I read the books, I always heard Cort's voice as Rip Torn's!
I saw the cover of this movie or tv show (whatever it is) in a store and it literally stopped me in my tracks. It's called The Quick and the Dead, and on the cover is Steven Deschain (for me at least). The actor is Sam Elliot. Check it out! :smile2:

hey guys so i think that Hugh Jackman should play Roland,the man in black should be played by Clint Eastwood(a homage to the westerns king was influenced by)Vivica A Fox should be Susannah, Edward Norton for Eddie..but dont know about Jake..any ideas??

ray winstone as Cort. pure and simple. but honestly, they shouldn't make a movie. period. at least not with ron howard at the reins.

The lead in Haven Lucas Bryant seems like the perfect Roland. The first time I saw him it hit me that is Roland...tall, skinny, blue eyes and so much like Roland.
