Although it's not a Marvel title, I really can't wait for The Talisman in October. This is one of my favourite novels, and I anticipate great things as it is translated into the comic medium.

Probably because of Straub's involvement, and the fact that the original publisher of the novel was different from both Straub and King's usual publishers.
And also because Del Ray is a division of Ballantine, which in turn published the original novel.

Has anybody heard anything about the second arc of "The Talisman: A Collision of Worlds." In the last issue of the comic it said that it would come out summer 2010. So far I have seen nothing about it. I searched all over the internet and not even the comic web pages has anything about it. Is there still going to be a second arc of the talisman comic? Is there something holding up the production of the comic? I really hope that the comic will release a second arc, I really enjoy the comic.

We've been told by the publisher that it is currently on hold but I don't have details as to why.

I read the Talisman back when I was around 14, so 12 years ago, and I almost certainly remember the character that Sawyer befriends was animalistic, like an anthopormorphised wolf or something, but as I flipped through the comic I see him introduced near the end as a big guy in overalls. Is this right, do I just remember things wrong?
