Duma Key has to be one of Stephens best new novels. I found Lisey's Story difficult to read and I will be trying it again! The quality of King's writing is comparable to his earlier greats (Misery, The shining and The stand), I found that the characters were likable and there was a genuine sense of terror in the events happening. It is a good size book which means that I only took one book on holiday this year instead of my customary three.

One of Mr. King's best novels, at least so far. I still have a few pages to go, however. Hopefully the ending of Duma Key will be as good as the rest of the story.
I agree with your assessment of the characters' likability.
Regarding Lisey's Story, I also find that to be a fun, engaging work. Strangely, though, not as much of that novel stuck with me as is usual for me, although I did add the word "bool" to my personal vocabulary. :)
