Just finished rereading Rose Madder, read it last when it first came out. Great book, great read. Just loved, as a member of the nation, that Norm was a diehard Yankee fan. Tee hee.

im actually on my second time of reading this book, the first time i was only about 13, and i really didnt understand the whole thing with the painting - im hopeing in re - reading it that i'll get what thats all about this time. cant believe how much you dont pick up on / forgotten untill you re-read it a few years later.
i found Norm a really hard character to "read" first time around, possibly as at 13 years of age you dont really believe such evil exists.

Classic King. I loved his references to DT, supernatural elements and his characters, of course. The juxtaposition and tension between Norm and Rose couldn't possibly be better!

Stephen expertly crafts characters we love to loath. It's great!

Most likely a face that one glance would drive you mad or kill you on the spot. I always imagined a rotting face with the flesh torn off on certain areas on her face.

ok. I read this book years ago and I have no clue what you all are talking about. I do remember that I loved it, that's about it. I think I need to break that book out again and refresh my memory.
