I have read, and love The Stand. The edition I read is "The Stand: Expanded Edition: For the First Time Complete and Uncut" by Signet, a paperback with the ISBN-13 of 978-0451169532 borrowed from a friend.

I do not buy books that I love in paperback, yet I cannot find a hardcover copy of the same edition of the book; the Amazon site for the paperback refers me to a hardcover called simply "The Stand" with a different cover, printed as part of a "Modern Classics" lineup by Gramercy with the ISBN-13 of 978-0517219010. This doesn't seem to be the same edition, and I really don't like the cover.

Is there a hardcover version of The Stand: Expanded Edition: For the First Time Complete and Uncut? And I will be a bit picky and go so far as to ask if there is a hardcover version with that stunning horse rider with a scythe as the cover?

If so, the ISBN would be appreciated so I can find this sucker ^.^

This is the cover I have with the ISBN: 0-385-19957-0

I haven't seen a HC edition with the rider on horse with scythe. Only in paperback.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

The Gramercy edition IS the same as the Uncut Stand. I have one that I use for my reading copy, after having read two paperbacks literally to shreds.

Thank you all very much, I was cautious about the Gramercy edition since it was missing the subtext in the title. I might just have to make my own dust jacket though --whips out a crayon--
