Omg it was Awful. It was like they tried
to make it all cool and updating and stuff.
But i thought it was the worst idea. "Carrie's sister!...half sister!"
It was ridiculous. I was surprised they didnt call it
Carrie 2: Karrie with a K.
"We're all sorry C(ay)rrie."
"It's K(ah)arrie with a K!!" Coffee mug falls off table.

I haven't seen it, but I read that it had some interesting feminist content (female director, sensitive script, etc) apart from being maybe a not-so-good horror movie & SK knockoff. If I were to get a chance to watch it, I would.
We all float down here.

Yeah, it was lame. I have seen worse efforts though. The black tattoos or whatever that was supposed to be all over her body actually made me laugh out loud.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA XD
It's a terrible movie, indeed. I'm not going to review it to my blog because this movie is an offense to Stephen fans.
By the way, October 1st I'm going to post the first review in the blog: Carrie (1976). I'm counting on you guys to visit the blog :biggrin2:
And I just bought a rare edition of Salem's Lot to the next review =D
Sorry for my english =P

There is time to do sequels and a time not to. You have to do wonder what some of these hollywood execs are thinking when they give greenlights to projects like these.

This sounds terrible! Who would make a sequel to something like that? I really hope people stop. Carrie's sister! How stupid! I thought the remake was bad, but this makes the remake look like movie gold.

I haven't seen the sequel. I have no plans to. There are some sequels which should never be made.

There are some sequels that shouldn't even be thought about being made.

It sucked but I liked that they tried to keep it current.

I liked it, but it was best if you tried not to relate it to Carrie.

I didn't care for the movie itself, but the music and Rachel's heart/vine tattoo was pretty bad ass :)

I refused to watch it. If there is going to be a sequal to an original horror movie it MUST star the same actor or actress and can't be a million years after the original. Thats ONE thing that ruined Rob Zombies halloween 2 for me, how they made Michael as a child a different actor, it made me mad!

There's so many ways the themes could have been modernized without badly plagiarizing the original by trying to "sequel" all over it! Don't make Carrie the Sequel, just re-make Carrie with the poor kid being hassled on Facebook as her psycho-kitty mother--or father, how about that spin?--scrambles desperately to keep her from growing up. Not all tortured kids are poor and badly dressed. With real-life horror stories like that of poor Phoebe Prince in the news, like there isn't enough to base a revenge story off of? Also, the whole apologist thing where Carrie is saved by a kind teacher? Uh, no. That's why it's horror, because situations don't always turn out all hunky-dory.

Its one of those movies that you watch and then right after watching you think to yourself:
"Why in the world was this even made?"
Is it me or do sequels to movies based on novels always fail? Unless of coarse the novel had sequels which said sequels are based on (looking at you Hannibal Lecter series).

I loved the book, the Sissy Spacek (sp?) original was great, never saw the remake, but stumbled across this sequel..... it was ok for our 'teen' generation but will not win any awards anytime soon

I thought the sequel was ok. Not as good as the original, but not bad IMO.

to be honest, It was just ok. Nowhere near as good as the original. But not awful, so many people said it was awful. I think those aren't seeing the big picture. The big picture is that Rachel and Carrie have the same powers because they have the same father. It was cool how Sue was in Carrie 2 because it shows flashbacks of Carrie in Carrie 2. So, you can stop saying it's awful just because Carrie isn't in it. They could have called it "Rachel" and if they did, it wouldn't have had any reference to Carrie which is part of the plot anyway.
