How great was it that AC/DC supported the film's soundtrack?
I'm currently listening to WHO MADE WHO. And, like all their other albums, it rawks hard.
Anyone else a fan of the Thunder From Down Under? I do believe that Stephen King is. He mentioned jamming them with your car windows down over the summer That sounds like a plan! Hee hee.

Dude, not only am I fan of AC/DC, I am an AC/DC fanatic.
I own everything they ever released, and then some...bootlegs, unreleased songs, memorabilia...the list never stops.:)
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK - WE SALUTE YOU!

I think I started liking AC/DC when I first saw Maximum Overdrive. I always associate Who Made Who with the movie now ... great album.

Well, " Who Made Who " is the only original new song on that album, " DT " and " Chase the Ace " are instrumentals, all the other songs were already previously released on other AC/DC albums.:wink2:

Huge fan since I was a kid. My Dad got me into them when I was about 7yrs old. When the war started back in '03 a radio station in West Palm Beach played For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). I was eating it up.

Yeah, I'm a big fan and have been since I was in short trousers!
Personally I prefer the early albums with Bon Scott on vocals.
High Voltage,
Highway to Hell,
If You Want Blood,
Dirty Deeds etc etc.
One of my favourite tracks is 'Ride On' -its an early Scott track.
Of the later albums I like Back in Black best.

Srbo: I'm in the same boat you are. I'm a major AC/DC fanatic.
Unfortunately, I need to replace my copy of "Big Gun". My niece got ahold of it one day and, well...
Back in the late 80s/early 90s, I used to play in an AC/DC cover band. Ah... those were the days.

Yeah, the Bon Scott albums are something else.
Not one bad song on any of them...
Poor Bon, died from alcohol, well from choking own his own vomit dead drunk...whereas Angus Young never-ever even tasted booze in his whole life, `till this day he doesn`t know what even beer tastes like...

I bought the soundtrack album in 1985 or '86, seven years before I had even heard of Stephen King. But it was the Ramones that "introduced" SK's work to me.

I concur about the Bon Scott era. Those are some fantastic albums. My favorite from that period would be POWERAGE. It'd definitely be my choice for a "desert island" poll.
I was lucky enough to see Bon Scott live. It was 1979, and I was only 7 years old, but was blessed enough to catch them on the HIGHWAY TO HELL tour. If I'm not mistaken, Molly Hatchet (another favorite band of mine) was opening.

Ah, lucky guy.
I`m jealous.

I love the Bon Scott era and the Brian Johnson era equally. Both the eras are different, but the common denominator for me is Angus Young. He is a god on electric guitar. He is rivaled only by Tony Iommi and Jimmy Page IMHO.
My favorite Bon albums are High Voltage and Highway to Hell. My favorite Brian albums are Ballbreaker, Back in Black, and Fly on the Wall.

If I had to pick a favorite Brian Johnson album, I'd give the nod to FLICK OF THE SWITCH.

yeah brummieyid Ride On is definitely my fave ac/dc tune, which is kinda strange because it is so atypical of their style

Tonight, I was planning on seeing them in Louisville, KY. But the show got postponed so that Brian Johnson can get himself back together.

I can`t decide on only one tune.
They have so many great songs that it`s impossible for me to single out even a top 5 list..it would change in my mind within seconds...:smile2:

I´m also a big AC/DC fan and I also find it hard to pick my favourite songs but "Chase The Ace" it´s sort of special to me for it was the very first song I was able to play along with my guitar (the rythm guitar section) .I was like "Man!Look at me, I rock!!"

Rawk on, Sawney Beane! :biggrin2:
I can play a couple of their songs on guitar. I'm not very good at it. I drum the heck out of them, though. Today, I played the drums to BLOW UP YOUR VIDEO. Quite the workout!

Maximum Overdrive was the first movie I bought when we got our first VCR..
always questioned why I watched the movie so much in the following years (enough times someone here refered to it as Maximum Overrun) and it was mainly because of the soundtrack, watching it like one long video for Who Made Who - years before we would have MTV.
the movie itself was pretty good for repeat-watching as well, slightly morbid action flick..
Honey, come on over here Sugarbuns, this machine just called me an *******!

I have all their stuff on vinyl. The Bon Scott years were the best. He would come out on stage barefoot, wearing nothing but an old pair of blue jeans and tattoos. The missing tooth was rock n' roll as h*ll too. He had just gotten his teeth fixed when he died. :(
Just watched Maximum Overdrive for the first time the other night. Glad Stephen didn't pursue directing after that, but I still liked it regardless.

I'd never heard the story about him getting his teeth fixed. That's sad.
