Salem's Lot - on blu-ray

Does anyone know when this little gem will be released on blu-ray? Eager to upgrade my SK film library.

I'm not entirely sure. It might not ever be released on Blu-ray. Its not exactly a movie known for its graphical quality. It came out in 1977 I believe. But who knows? It might end up on Blu-ray someday. :laugh:

I tracked down a Playstation 3 w/Blu-Ray pretty early in the production cycle. I don't have a 1080p television. The PS3 was an impulse buy.

Technology Question: Isn't a Blu-Ray redistribution of a movie older than 8(?) years just a marketing gimmick?

I think it will be awhile for either version. I'm pretty sure that when they eventually release Salem's Lot, it will be the 1977 version first. I don't think you will see the 2004 remake anytime soon. Just a hunch on both counts.
