Christine is my favorite novel of Stephen King. I can almost picture the charatcer in my head from the movie even though there are differences. The actor had nice clean teeth and the book character had bad teeth. Anyhow, if anyone knows, I am very curious where he came up with the name of Buddy Repperton. Its a great bully name for some reason, but I love it.

The character of Buddy Repperton scares me! I used to date a guy like him when I was in high school. The guy took auto-mechanics; wore engineer boots and had greasy long hair just like Repperton. I always have to fast forward the DVD because I can't stand to look at the guy!

He's the evil version of Danny Zuko (the actors even look like each other), a shame that in the movie he wasn't half brave as he was in the book, even he being a total douché.

in the movie he looked like a john travolta wannabe - i love the film of 'christine', i really do, but you gotta laugh at all those 30-year-old high school students.

I felt sorry for Buddy Repperton until 'Christine' worked on him and he became a classic 'toe rag'. He was full of teenage ankst and wanted badly some self esteem. I felt he deserved some of the revenge too though not in the same way as I felt Carrie did.

In the movie, he looks like Wolverine, or like Danzig's uncle.

I think I may have married him! I mean in looks and interests. Mine doesn't beat up on peeps or cars though.

I don´t know why, but I loved Buddy ;P
He reminds me of the statement "the evil will never die immediately - you have to kill them once more"

The image of Repperton being run down by Christine on fire was one of the great movie scenes in horror.

Carpenter is excellent.

I loved both the book, Christine, and the movie . My dad and I sat up one night, years ago, and watched Christine on TV. I was starting my first day of college the next day and I will never forget on the way to school we passed a car that looked exactly like Christine. It scared us both to death! However it is a memory I will never forget.

Hi,

Buddy Repperton reminds me of Henry Bowers.

And Ace Merrill.

Long days and pleasant nights

The name seems to fit the character. It amazes me how King comes up with so many names for his characters. My favorite of all time is john Coffey from TGM.

I always fount it funny that Buddy looked like he was forty but was still in high school. Maybe he liked it so much he didn't want to leave. He also looked liked John Travolta's evil twin. He is a legendry ball buster.

No, no, in the Seventies all the kids just looked older. It was all the smoking.

Anybody here think they should do a remake of the movie? Maybe a Dodge Challenger for the car? Love to see Stephen King collaborate with Rob Zombie to get a new look at the film. Would be an absolute blockbuster....

How I loved that book - it was awesome. I loved when Christine attacked the bullies; it was scary! However, for some reason I truly hated Leigh, she made me furious. She was too much of a good girl. However, I do not want to give away the ending, thus I do not tell what I did not like!
