I am reading the stand for the 1st time. I am currenlty only in the 1st part of the book. I am not a stand or Sk dummy however and I know that the man in black aka Randall Flagg, aka several other characters with intials R.F. in several other books. My question is is that radio disc jockey Ray Flowers is also Randall Flagg, perhaps trying to stir chaos and conspiracy in the people???? speak your peace..

No, considering what happens to Ray--Flagg would have better ideas than that!

So does anyone have any clue what the significance of RF is? I realize that all of the Walkin Dudes' names are the initials R.F., but does anyone see some symbolical meaning of some sort. I'm stumped...

Not all of them
His original birth name was Walter Padick, and in DT 1, he goes by Walter o'Dim

i once spent aaaaages googling this after looking all over this forum for it too, and came up with nada. which i love because who wouldn't like to insert something like that into their work and have people all over the world trying to decipher it, when for all we know it might have just been a random decision he decided to stick with after the first time he used it? wouldn't that be funny.
