did a re-read of dark rivers of the heart the other week. good chase/pursuit story, koontz. i'd like to be like valerie, or whatever her name is in the story. she rocks. i happened to re-read firestarter before this one, another kind of chase/pursuit story. anyone know of any other chase/pursuit stories? i think dark rivers of the heart worked better as a story than did firestarter. both stories have characters who are trying to build utopia. as an idea to center a story on, the pursuit/chase works fine. :dunno:

I remember reading Dark Rivers of the Heart a few months ago. It was pretty good. If you want a chase/pursuit story you can always try Dean Koontz's The Goody Guy or that story where the gunslinger was chasing after a man in black. You know the one I mean? ;)

Hi Bluey

IMO, you can't beat "The Gingerbread Man" for a riveting chase/pursuit story. Quite frankly, it's the template for many similar stories that have followed in its wake.

Enjoy the magic...

yeah, rose madder is a good one. ole norman. one of the good hands people. and i've gone through the dark tower seven about five or six times now. winter seems to work best for that story. all that white outside, time on my hands, and time spent with eddie, jake, and susannah (oy, too!) is okay wid me. roland gets on my nerves.

there's that "dual" story. matheson. didn't king do something along those lines?
