I just started reading Carrie, its decent and everything, but I have a hard time finding stopping points, because it is only devided in 3 parts. Does anyone else have this problem?

Not really. A lot of authors do it like that these days... but the sections are pretty much divided by white space before and after the articles so it's pretty easy to just stick the bookmark in and know where to start next time. Terry Pratchett is also big on having no chapters or parts to a novel.
:D

Yeah, it wasn't that hard... It just kind of irritated me. But I'm done with it now, getting ready to start The Talisman.

You'll find reading Dolores Claiborne a lot more tough. It really doesn't have any "stopping points" at all. It's one continuous narrative.

i like that - it means you feel compelled to devour it in one go without pause, which is neat when an author pulls it off so that you genuinely agree with that feeling. i remember fahrenheit 451 did that too, didn't it? and when i read it years ago, it was in one sitting over about 90 mins because i couldn't put it down and there was nowhere to stop in it anyway.

Well I didn't really get "from the shadow exploded" part... But I just kinda skipped that and just read the story. Lol

The moral of the story is(oohhh a pun)-once begun, never pull your schnozz from the pages till it's done!

While I am currently reading Carrie I do agree that with the part's so long that it's hard to stop once you start. I feel it keeps you engaged and more into the book. I don't really have a big problem with it as I just put in my bookmark and continue where I left off the next time.
Enjoy the read.

Carrie is almost like a fake Documentary. Carrie going berserk at the prom was a huge news story, and then several books were written about the incident. The Shadow exploded is one of them, and seems be the main one. But there are also other articles that are referenced, a book by Sue Snell court hearings etc. But it's not just a fake documentary, most of the story is told only to the reader and isn't documented anywhere.
On topic though I also found it hard to find stop points, because it wasn't also clear that the booked moved to a new chapter.
