isn't that the eye of ra? i'm disappointed it seems they did it on purpose - would be amazing if it were some natural freak occurence, that'd get people wondering...

Hi,
Something that's always fascinated me, and I wrote about it recently, is how one of the oldest Pictish and Celtic symbols (and other ancient cultures too), the ones we used to paint on each other, exactly mirror the spiral nebulae.
