Dunno if what comes after would qualify as a spoiler. Maybe not. But...

All I can say is...the ba$tards!

Congrats to Uncle Stephen on creating characters and scenes so vivid they actually made me feel rage, but...if I were Roland, there'd've been a few more corpses lying about and no mistake. That town...there'd be nothing left but ghosts and the wind by the time I was done.

I know it's all part of the series, but that 'story within a story' was/would be great as a stand-alone.
Yet it also filled me with something close to despair. I read it, I loved every word...and awareness crept in that I could never come close to half of that.
So, excellent story (stories?), and grudging 'thanks' for the writer's block that's bound to strike.

Hi,

Couldn't agree more, it was my wife's favourite book of all time, truly marvellous book.

Now onto Wolves!

Long days and pleasant nights

Hi

Oh and Pee Ess.

Once again, grateful thanks to Ms Mod for the most important 'nagging' in literary history IMO.

Talisman 3, Ms Mod? LOL

Long days and pleasant nights

Indeed...just as soon as the library gets it returned! :glare:

Your wife's favourite? Then I consider myself in good company, and thanks again for the nudges towards DT in the first place.

If you make a habit of reading threads about books you haven't finished yet, one of these days you're gonna be sorry. Just, um... sayin'. Want a balloon?

We all float down here.

Umm, didn't read threads about the book yet, I could easily deduce it wasn't going to end well..just wanted to share the anticipation

I read the book a month ago and I loved it. Sometimes it was hard to go on (maybe just a bad habit) but it was worth it. I cried at the end. Now I'm at page 360 of the 7th book and I can't believe how it all turned.
