View Full Version : Making the other books fit...

I recently finished the Dark Tower series for the second time. I said this in another post, but the first time I read them, I read them months and in some cases years apart. This time I read the seven books back to back.
Now it was only days ago that I finished the series, and I have a few non SK books that I plan on reading for now, but I am already contemplating my return to the Dark Tower series, except this time with a twist.
What I really want to do is read the entire series, but fit all related SK stories and novels into some kind of order.
I have not even tried to work out any sort of order as yet, and I was wondering if any body out there has tried this, or can help me come up with the best order to do it in.
I figure Eyes Of The Dragon might be a good place to start, and that fitting Salems Lot in between Wizard And Glass And Wolves Of The Calla seems obvious, likewise with Hearts In Atlantis between Song Of Susanah and The Dark Tower. But there is so many others that I have not begun to consider... so any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,

Welcome to the MB, and keep posting!

There's an excellent list on the Main site, but I'd suggest Little Sisters of Eluria before The Gunslinger, Everything's Eventual before DT6, Insomnia before DT7, and perhaps The Talisman/Black House and Rose Madder.

And the comic/graphic novels after W&G, and you might enjoy Robin Furth's Concordance and Bev Vincent's The Road to the Dark Tower as well.

Long days and pleasant nights
