I was the big Stephen King fan when Davin and I met, but he's pretty much been dragged along on all the adventures since the late 80s and learned to love it. Sometimes I forget how much SK plays in our personal language (around with a bunch of other stuff, including LOTR, Star Trek, etc.) but then, like today, I get a reminder.

This morning, he forwarded an email about his company picnic to me, so I could put the date on the calendar. I got the entire text of the original email, and above it all he added was, "M-O-O-N, that spells picnic!"

Does anyone do goofy stuff like this in their family?

Sometimes when my dad was being extra bossy ( but in a loving dad way, I love you pops) I would say "MY LIFE FOR YOU", and as he was the one that motivated and fueled my intrest in The Stand, he always seemed to get a kick out of it. Then he always went on to say " Now if you burn anything down, it will not be praise you recieve. Cool topic by the way...

The Calla slang really stuck on me for a long time. I'd wish everyone Long Days and Pleasant Nights and demanded that they would wish me Twice as Many...

M-O-O-N that spells Tom Cullen - Tom Cullen

When Abigail Freemantle told Nick Andros that God believed in him.

I use M-O-O-N that spells _____ all the time, yet, none of my friends are fans of Sai King, so they have no clue what I'm talking about. However, they are amused by it.

Yeah now I say "My Laws" all the time, but everyone just thinks I'm a weirdo or something :(. Also, after Duma Key I've been talking more spanglish than before.

Well I do, but no one else gets it. Thankee has pretty much replaced thank you for me, and I say "laws yes" all the time.

Hubby was feeling frisky, and I said something about dancing the commala.

He heard "you're a communist."

But I am accustomed to the weird looks he gives me, so it's all good.:cool2:

My son and I have several, but they are Stephen King's - my boy isn't much of a reader - yet - I firmly believe there is still hope...
"I'm just sayin'..." and "giggity" seem to be the current populars...
