I have just finished the series for the second time. First time I read the books months, and in some cases years apart, this time I read it back to back.
I'm not sure if this was a good idea because i'm really having trouble leaving it behind.. i want more and I dont care if its a collection of short stories that fill in gaps, or short stories based on minor characters from the series such as the Quick family, or Sheemie Ruiz or more about Jonas and his getting sent west, I just want more, and NEED more! Im sure Stephen could come up with enough stories to fill 10 Dark Tower based short story collections.
Little Sisters and the graphic novels just aren't enough for me!
Call me greedy, but I could read about nothing but Rolands world ever again if I had the option.

Know exactly what you mean. I keep re-reading my favorite parts like the drawing of Eddie and Susannah----the unforgetable trip to the pharmacy. Too many favorite parts.

I totally know what you mean. I read all of the book in a row and finished the last 3 during the first 8 weeks I was off after having my son (this got me through a lot of sleepless nights while feeding). I just kept going through all the books rereading parts to get a better understanding of it. When I finished the book and the door closes behind Roland, my first thought was "Oh, he did not just end the series that way!" Second thought, "What a fantastic way to end the book. Let the reader imagine what is at the top of the tower."

I so want more too. I want to reread it but it's still to fresh in my mind to do it.

It is a series that definatley deserves a re-read. I'm already contemplating my third read after just finishing my second. But you're right, it does take a little bit of working up to..

I think the hardest part for me about being done with it is knowing that RF dies, it's just so final. I know that the journey continues for Roland but I don't know if I could go back and read the Stand again without a small let down knowing his fate. **sigh**
