I think I'm in love w/ Roland. He is my ideal man! At the very least I'd totally "do him"!

Totally okay - I always had a bit of a "thing" for Stu Redman .... he could park his boots anytime :grinning:

Hi,
I kind of think so.
I fell "inlove" with quite a few fictional female characters.
Those that come immediately to mind in the works of Stephen King are Frannie Goldsmith, Mattie Devore, and Susan Norton.
Long days and pleasant nights

Roland??! Well, I can already tell you and I won't be fighting over guys... :biggrin2:
But it's great you find love, anywhere you can get it, and I was always partial to, yes Stu Redman as well, and to Ben Hanscom, that sweetheart.

Most people fall in "love" with their ideas about a real person, so it would follow that all it takes is the idea. Short answer: Yes.

I'm thinking it's a good thing for him he is fictional, if he weren't I think most of the ladies and some of the gentlemen that hang out around here would be wearing the poor soul down to a nub.
Personally, I wouldn't be above trying to tempt him with a popkin or two. :biggrin2:

Frannie is mine buddy. Long days and comfy nights for you, productive days and long eventful night adventures for me and Frannie.
She's just so damn pure and beautiful, I'd make sure she was treated like it. Plus, her 'daddy' is long dead. Not that I want somebody else's kid, but ... if daddy's dead, I think I could handle it. Frannie didn't seem to have issues about him in the least though, so I'm sure she'd be golden to make happy.
Oh, and Carol Gerber. My heart broke even thinking it was her we saw again. I'd gut that sick **** who talked her into getting that scar too.
Cookie was fun too. Even before she touched the yucky Can-Tah.
King has a way of making me want them though... so all the hot ones I keep, pretty much...

As far as female characters, what about Jessie Mahout, and Rosie Mclendon?

Haha, I think it's possible and totally fine. I waver between who I'd prefer to sack up with, Roland or Flagg. Hey, don't judge me! When King specifically states Flagg "would make the ladies' hearts go pitty pat, that looked like the type of guy you would see on the cover of one of those sweet, savage love paperback romances", how can it be helped! I bet he's a demon in bed, bwaha.

I think it's possible. Just look at all those Twilight fanatics. Lol.

I was completely 1000% in love with Fox Mulder from the X-Files. But since he ended up with Scully I had to give him up. *sighs*

I could easily love some of King's characters. Roland really evolved as a character throughout DT, and by the end, I could only wish I were a few years older and he a few younger. But, I wouldn't want to end up dead like all the people who flock around him.
I'd sure like to journey to The Tower with him.

I suppose its possible to feel identically to as if you are in love with a person that does not exist...but I wouldn't recommend it.

Well it's certainly possible to fall in love with someone you never get to meet. The internet is proof of that ;)
