I’ve just started reading IT for the first time, and I have the Signet paperback copy that I bought about 3 years ago. On the copyright page it says ‘First Signet Printing- August 1981/ Copyright Stephen King 1980.’ I know for a fact that the book was first published in 1986 not ‘81. It also says on the copyright page of my Signet edition that IT was published as a limited edition by Phantasia Press. I looked this up online and couldn’t find any limited edition IT by Phantasia Press, but found that they did publish a limited edition of Firestarter. I then checked my Signet paperback edition of Firestarter and realized that the copyright page was pretty much identical to the one on my copy of IT. Did Signet make a mistake during printing and put the Firestarter copyright page on IT? Did this error occur in multiple copies or is mine unique? Do you think it’s worth anything if it is? :eyebrow: I know most people don’t even look at the copyright page but this just seems like a pretty big mistake by the publisher.
