Yeah, guess I'm bored today and not getting much writing done, but my son had a half day and of course, the creative flow doesn't work as well when you've got Gears of War video game blasting shot gun fire from the other room. Or how about those famous words, "I'm hungry!" LOL!
But anyway.....when I read On Writing there was a part about titles and how when the right title came to you it would hit you like a bolt of lightning. Well, that did happen to me and I wanted to share it with you.
My story that I'm working on has been very emotional for me because it's a true story, and it's my story. The last part is yet to be written, and part of it is going to depend on what I can get out of EMDR to remember some things a spirit showed me in my dreams. Things have been a bit active lately and I've been a bit confused as to how I became involved in all of this in the first place.
So I stood in the shower and tears ran down my face. I swore to myself that I would not give up. That I would fight this out and have a happy ending for myself and for the spirit that has caused all of this. As I stood there letting the water pour down over me and determination burned in my soul, the song "Running Down a Dream" by Tom Petty came on. There was the lightning bolt. For what am I doing other than running down a dream. So there it is, the last piece of my story will be called Running Down a Dream. I have Tom Petty to thank for the song, and Stephen King to thank for letting me know and preparing me for that lightning bolt. If I hadn't known it was coming, I might still be standing in my shower getting jolted!! Once again thanks sai King! (I love that you guys all call him that!)
