and i wondered about this King Crimson business - don't tell me the end pelase, i'm about 100 pages away, but i'm loving it and it's making me feel like when i look up from reading i'll see colours too! in fact, the other day i was so engrossed in it that i kept reading as i walked off the train at king's cross station...and i walked smack into a pole - and was so disorientated, i apologised, thinking it was a person. thank GOD i was at the back of the train so most people were walking ahead of me and didn't see. i won't be forgetting that little incident for a while!

anyway, a question - i was looking up aura photography and it led to the wikipedia entry on kirlian photography and i saw this:

"The King Crimson album Red has a Kirlian image as the back cover art."

anyone know if that's part of the inspiration for the book having the Crimson King and auras? if not, it's quite a fun little coincidence :)

Hi,

Sorry, I don't know, but I don't believe in coincidences, and I'm sure Sai King certainly listened to (and saw the cover) of the first King Crimson album.

'The jester chants the funeral march, the cracked brass bell will ring
To summon back the Fire Witch to the Court of the Crimson King'
(King Crimson, 1969)

Long days and pleasant nights
