In two weeks time I'll be doing my first booksigning. Does the Great Sai have any advice other than to keep lots of pens handy? At this point Im hoping people will show up at my table.
Thanks

Hi,
Congrats, Blue, enjoy every minute.
Have you ever read Marian Keyes 'The Other Side of the Story'? It contains a hilarious fictionalised account of her first book signing tour, and lots of other 'behind-the-scenes' stuff as well.

Thanks John, I've gotta pick that one up. I'm so keyed up right now I can't concentrate on writing.

I had a book signing once, the only people that showed up were my kids and dog
Good luck man, I hope it goes great!!

Scribble nonsense for an hour a day...build up cramp defense. (I do that, but I'm actually trying to write cogently...) Congratulations. That's a landmark achievement for a writer.
Enjoy,

Congratulations on the book signing. I hope your turnout is above and beyond your expectations.
As for the advice...Flex your wrist and fingers often, to stave off writer's cramp. .
If it shakes and moans, don't open the box.

Just a suggestion, have several nude bananna dancers dancing behind you during the book signing. This will hold everyones attention a little longer and make the event more memorable.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. Nude bananna dancers, eh? I don't think the showgirls down on the riverboats would be pleased. Unless I bribe them with chocolate to come over and hang out at the Municipal. The signing will be in Shreveport LA if anyone is interested. I'd love to meet other King fans.
