If you liked the Dark Tower series you should check out the comics. Although the first chapter just retells Wizard And Glass, the following chapters tell a great followup to it. not to mention the artwork is amazing and Robin Furth's Dark Tower information is great.

I agree, it's an excellent companion to the novels. Too bad the current chapter (Fall of Gilead) will be the last one. Of course there's only so much stories you can tell, and the youth of Roland has been unexplored in the novels, mostly, apart from Wizards and Glass. The comics do a great job of continuing that storyline.

Hi

I agree about the comics; I hope the team will stay together for more 'chapters', and the preview issue and cover for The Talisman with some of the backstory also by Robin looks rterrific too!

If you haven't got them can I also recommend Robin Furth's Concordance and Bev Vincent's The Road To The Dark Tower?

Ug! I like the idea of some fill-in on the tales that were skimmed over in the books, but HATE that it's in comic book form...and not even written by King, for pete's sake.

I picked up Jericho Hill today along with 3 of the Gilead books. Lame, lame, lame. The tales would be SO much better in book form. And the "artwork"? Most of the people look like they are wearing Michael Meyers masks. Thankfully, I only wasted $15. I'll not be buying any more.

I agree, it's an excellent companion to the novels. Too bad the current chapter (Fall of Gilead) will be the last one.

The Battle of Jericho Hill will be the last in the current series. Then apparently they'll be doing the Gunslinger in comic form. (I won't get that though as I'm getting the comics for new material.)

I've largely liked the comics, although I've disagreed with some decisions concerning the back story which I didn't feel fit with the books. (Jonas's back story for example.)

Please, don't laugh with me:blush:, but I' m a little bit confused about how many comics with Roland are released... If I go to order them, what should I say? For example "I want 10 comics with Roland?:eek2:"
