Hey Dad,
You've been gone a couple of days now. I was lucky I got to see you before you passed from the blue into the black. I hope I was some comfort to you and I was glad you finally let go. Let's face it you werent' in too good a shape on this side of the curtain. Don't worry about us, we will get our acts together eventually. You left strong women behind and you know we all are going to bump heads, but we know how to think with our hearts as well. I do have one question. I heard a voice tell me " He's at the gate" I wonder what that meant?? I just hope it is a good gate. Whatever road you are on now, I wish you a interesting journey. I will see you again on the other side someday!!! You will be missed

I have not lost a parent yet. However the loss of grandfather last July is still very painful. I am glad that I was holding his hand and telling him just how much I love him when he passed. I think of him each and every day. My grandma died after a terrible battle with cancer, she suffered so very much it was a relief to see her out of the pain, but my grandpa was so very sudden and unexpected that it shook me to the core of my sole to lose him. :bat:

I had to write a letter, when I was in a drug class recently. I could pick who to send it too, and I never had to show it to anyone.
I've learned, over the years, that a simple magic spell, is to write a letter to someone you love, write something you really want or need them to hear. Especially if it's to someone you can no longer communicate with. Then ritualistically burn the letter. Keep your mind on what you wrote, and them, as you burn the letter. It will help clense you of the things you just needed to get out, and if the wind is just right, they might get what it is you sent to the winds, in some way shape or form.
You don't need to be a witch for this one. It's as simple as wishing on a star.
So, I wrote a letter to a friend of mine who died a few years ago. Other than the fact that he was a mess in this life, I couldn't have asked for a better friend. He was extremely non-objective, and a true friend for life, like a dog. He always wanted to get right to the fun, and he held up everything it took to make it there on his end.
Anyway, I won't repeat the letter here, but as soon as the class was finished, I threw my workbook into a bonfire. I held it in my talons tight, before it made it to the fire. My buddy immediately stated, "You burned yours? I saved mine from three years ago, it's still upstairs. I wanted to read what you wrote, haha!"
I don't care if the one that had the fire is my best friend, I would have gotten into a serious fist fight if he tried to touch that book.
Anyway, cheers to your death brother. You aren't missing much, and believe me, it's not just "all good" like you so always used to state. May we meet again in a plane where we're the big dogs, and we set up the games, and we make sure everything and everyone is taken care of properly. You'll see me stand at full attention when that day comes.

The right words are so hard to find when someone loses a beloved loved one. You're in so many hearts, thoughts and prayers right now.
"You're in the arms of an angel, may you find some comfort here..."

Oh DearHeart, it is hard, hard to go on without the one you loved and who was so much a part of your life but he would have wanted you to go on and be happy. You know what you have to do and you will get to it, but for now re-live those happy memories that you would have never had without him.
I'll remember you in my prayers.

I've lost my grandfather when I was 13. I wrote a similar text, the minister read it out loud in the church at the funeral. It's almost been 12 years and I still miss him.
I truly am sorry for you and hope you and your family are doing allright under the circumstances. I know it hurts now, but eventually you'll remember him without the hurt and smile at all those good times you had together. Keep hanging in there.

Hi,
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Losing a loved one is hard, but I have not lost a parent yet so I can't know what you are going through - all I know is that it must be hard.
Keep fighting and enjoying life.

My heart goes out to you. I lost my Mom 13 years ago after a long battle with Emphysema. It's hard to lose someone you love no matter how ready they were to pass on. Your words to your Dad are beautiful, and brought a tear to my eyes.
May Peace be with you...
