I don't think so, actually I think Cell is off the universe of Castle Rock, Haven or Derry, I think it's just a simple novel, like The Colorado Kid with no connections at all.

There are some small subtle connections that are hinted at in a couple of places. The only two I can remember at this moment are
1) The graphic novel that the main character has composed seems to be a story similar to Roland's Quest.
2) It's suggested that the whole catastrophy the book is based on is the result of a beam breaking.
We all float down here...

I've heard that the Raggedy Man's Harvard sweatshirt is a clue to him serving the Crimson King, since Harvard's color is usually called "crimson" instead of just red. It's also the name of their school newspaper. The sweatshirt is so iconic of the character that I doubt Stephen just chose it at random.

I think all of Sai King's stories are connected to the Dark Tower in one way or another. Some are more obvious than others. But if you go through each story you can usually find some kind of reference to Roland or the Dark Tower.

Yeah that's my understanding too. That every book has a hidden connection. Which is cool. It's makes reading and SK book that much more fun.
Should be getting the Colorado Kid book in about a week. I purchased a lot of 17 Hard case crime novels. I'll be sure to post what I thought about that when finally get the books.
