Ew. I think that is a horrific part of the exhibit. I also think it may be a little financially- or fame-motivated on the part of Ms. Ono. I mean, yes, it is important to get the message out about how much gun violence impacts our society, but I personally feel that an exhibit on Lennon's life and death would do that just as well without that particular part.
Also...why in ye gods did she keep those in the first place???? EW I say.

That is just wrong, and dishonorable to Lennon's contributions.
And Ono tried to justify it with " I want people to see the effects of gun violence."
Puh-lease. More like she wanted to rake in a few extra bucks and some publicity. :grr:

Hmm...seems I didn't state my opinion. I say that Yoko has lost her mind. What John Lennon ever saw in that woman is beyond me.

Terrible.
They never could let the dead rest in peace, could they ?
Sell everything, if they could they would find their diapers somewhere and display and sell them, nevermind anything else.
For something like this, Yoko and anybody else who is behind this, deserves to be put into a mental institution.

I wouldn't be surprised if Yoko kept some DNA to try to clone John. Imagine how much money and publicity she could get from that. It's A crying shame that this man's legacy is constantly being milked by this nutjob of a widow. Enough already. I feel sorry for Cynthia and Julian Lennon who have to constantly deal with this nonsense and not get anything out of it. I'm a huge Beatles fan and I respect John as an artist but he was a crummy husband and father to his first family. I understand divorces happen, but he should have made sure that his first son was taken care of.

This is very sad. It's Yoko playing on our emotions. I could not go see it.

"It was hard to include," Ono said. "And I thought it might be criticized as well." YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT !

Hi,
I would ass-u-me that a large number of Lennon fans would boycott the exhibition, I certainly would.

that came close to makin me cry. i can not stand that woman, the audacity! and its being shown at such a random time, what school's out so she can sell more tickets? it would make at least some sense to show it in december, not a lot of heart, but at least an oz of sense.

Very sad...I don't think John would want this violent act on display for everyone to see!

Clothes of the famous - well - :sleepy:
There is a traveling MOSE display of dissected people in Tampa FL.
I have viewed some very interesting displays, caught a cold looking into a crypt, and even met a man that looked a lot like the sheep he was herding. And I have pictures!:smile2:

This is not an appropriate way to portray John's life and contributions. Inclusion of the clothes he was murdered in is morbid. Yoko Ono comes across very callous to me with this display. I never was a fan of hers either.

I didn't even look at the sight. I was afraid that my head might explode or something. John Lennon was a kind, if somewhat optimistic man, who also happened to be a musical genius. What happened to him was tragic. I do not appreciate people making a joke out of tragedy, or making money from it either. I don't want to see the clothes he died in. I want him to rest in peace. After so many years of asking the world to give peace a chance, it's the least he deserves.

It's sad to see John Lennon exploited by his own wife. I always think of her name as
Oh-No, instead of Ono.

You expected to hear something better from the " genius mind " called Yoko Ono ?

Do you think the Kennedy's would have done the same with JFK's clothes ??
If I want to see the historical effects of gun violence, I can just take a look at the car that Bonnie and Clyde got blown to smithereens in.
Yoko would sell a used tissue or toilet paper of Lennon's if she could. She's done nothing "artistic" in so many years of her "career"...and she's always been a nutjob from what I can make out. If it hadn't been for Pink Floyd playing the 14 hour technicolour dream at the Alexandria Palace, Lennon and Ono may never have met.
I think Julian, Cynthia, and Sean should be FUMING about this. She's gone too far, IMHO.
