Was Hearts in Atlantis written before or after your accident? And if before, then what was your first book after On Writing?

Hearts in Atlantis was written before Steve's accident. The first novel he wrote after On Writing was Dreamcatcher.

I enjoyed Dreamcatcher i found it reminiscent of his earlier works. I haven't read on writing yet, got it, just don't know if i want to know why he writes what he writes. I guess it would give some insight? I will some day but so much to read, and my list is endless it seems.

I enjoyed Dreamcatcher too, although I can't say that I found it reminiscent of his earlier works. I thought it was somewhat of a departure from his norm.
