On Jeopardy a few nights ago they had a whole category on Stephen King called "Stephen, King of Writing." There were questions about The Shining, The Green Mile, Christine, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, and It. I thought this was pretty cool and was wondering if anyone else saw it. Also, do they have to get permission to use him in questions on the show, and does he have any input on what questions are asked, or provide any information for them?

They don't need his permission and the only time they were in contact with us was to ask what his blood type is. Can't remember what the category was, though.

Hi,
Well, there's a bizarre question if you like.
Betya no-one would get that one in Trivia, eh, CJ?
Long days and pleasant nights

I saw it, and I was shouting out the answers before the question was read. I know he is part of pop culture, but it always shocks and excites me a little bit when I hear him brought up in a place I don't expect.

The contestants actually did better than I expected. Every question was answered correctly. This one guy answered most of the questions, so it seemed like he could have been a fan. The lady mistakenly answered "The Long Green Mile" (confusing it with The Long Walk, maybe?) but then the guy answered it correctly. Yes, there was definately some shouting of answers on my part.:biggrin2:

I saw it. They wanted to know his Blood type ? Vampires !!
Do we have a Dr. Lechter on the jeapordy question finder's board?
( I guess thats how they pool the question's, cant imagine Alex
Trebeck thinks up all the question's although He cracks me up
when they answer a question wrong and He calls out the correct
answer as though He knew it all along. Yup.
