Mr. King,
My husband's grandfather, Sam Bornstein, was the editor for the Boston Herald. Alan, my husband, was recently told a story about how you applied for a job with him. He not only didn't hire you, but referred you to a publisher friend instead with the recommendation to write books instead of news articles. I was wondering if this is a true story.
Unfortunately, this story was told to Alan days after the passing of his grandfather at the age of 95. We're putting together some stories and such for a memorial service and I was hoping to get some confirmation or not.
Thank you for your response,
Shari Perry
