To whom it may concern,

I've been looking all over the internet with no success on finding these 2 Stephen King books. The Talisman (1984 Novel) and The Gunslinger - The Dark Tower. If you click on the links bellow you will see what that look like.

The Talisman Original

The Gunslinger - The Dark Tower alternate edition Purple

I would appreciate if someone can tell me where I may find them, or if anybody has them I would be certainly insterested in purchasing them.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael, unfortuantely there was no link for me to click on to see what exactly you meant.

The only help I can up with (no doubt you've already checked) is amazon or e-bay, or maybe trying a search for specialist book shops.

Sooner or later, everything comes up on e-bay. You have to check it about every 5 days or so. If you don't see it for the first month or so, don't get discouraged, it will come up sooner or later. I once saw the entire set of Dark Tower books for sale on e-bay, all seven in hardcover first editions, for the low price of $11,000. Oh I forgot to mention, all seven were signed.

Have you looked into Betts Books in Bangor. They carry a great inventory of SK books.

gunslinger-purple, are you talking about the little sister of eluria?
Go to grant, they publish it. It cost about $300 us dollars if you are lucky enough to get one signed by SK. I think that they are about to do a lottery for some of them.

that talisman- it always comes up. I have about 3, 2 from ebay. they where reasonable priced, usually under $10.

I just wish my local library had 'The Talisman.' Have not read it in a coon's age

I collect books only in my head, because when that's gone, why bother?

Go look on Amazon, it's a goldmine.

I have The Gunslinger and The Talisman sitting on my desk and I got them both from Amazon for less than $10 combined.

Hi Demorgan,

Thanks for responding so quickly. I might be interested in those paper covered versions of the talisman and the gunslinger. How may go about it to obtain them?

Go here, and type in what you are looking for. I know that the paperback for the gunslinger is the 1st edition of the plume paperback. They have the talisman as well( it may be 1st or may not be).The place is legit. Very friendly people.

Try Bookfinder.com - it searches a ton of online book stores for new and used copies.

Found The Gunslinger in a used bookstore several years ago and stumbled into something great. If you have one near you that might be a good place to look. Happy Hunting.

Hi Demorgan,

Thanks for sending me that web site. I conducted a search regarding the talisman, and the gunslinger... Found them both, but the only thing is that I'm not sure, which one is the right one. They don't show pictures of the covers of these 2 books. I'm just concerned that, if I purchase it, that it will not be the right editions. Just to let you know. These books are not for me. I'm helping one of my friends find the 2 books that were lost.

my local Half-Price books had a few of hardcovers of the Talisman very cheap. I couldn't find the Gunslinger hardcover, though. I settled for the revised edition and the Plume paperback (the revised one didn't have the pictures)

Hi Demorgan,

Thanks once again for the information. I went that site orange.ebooks.com and I was able to find the 2 books the talisman and the gunslinger, but I'm not sure if those are the right editions, as well as I tried to contact that company and the 1-800 number is out of order as well as I emailed them with no response. I kind of reluctant to purchasing those 2 books from that company because of this. Do you know of any other sites that might have these books.

Thanks,

Michael
