own personal SK moments??

does anyone here have that one moment when your life was like a page out of one of SK's books? i'll tell you mine

I had a few drinks with the hubby one night and we fell asleep on the couch...when we woke up to go to the bed my foot was asleep..i made a joke and told hubby he was going to have to carry me to the bed..well, my foot ended up getting cold and purple...had to wake hubby up to go to hospital..ended up being a blood clot... had to have leg removed below the knee...then guess what folks...that's right..leg ended up not getting enough blood to it and they had to amputate again above the knee..now they have figured out that i have antiphosolipid syndrome....no warnings of it..it just pops up and bites you..so ladies out there do not take leg pains lightly..get them checked..i am not old either for all of you that saw blood clot and thought "old ladyraven" i am only 34:smile2:

Wow ladyraven, what an awful experience this must have been for you, hope you are coping ok with it now.:smile2: It must be frightening to have something happen quite unexpectantly with such serious consequences.

My life is only like an Uncle Steve book when it comes to things going bump in the night...i guess i am fortunate in that way.:eek2:

When Edward died in THE GREEN MILE, I cried. That is probably the closest thing to a SK moment for me. LOL

Sorry to hear about your leg. Nothing unusual for me when it comes to Sai King stories, or none that i can think of at the moment. Maybe a Pet Semetary going on in my yard,(my animals get buried there.) none have come back to haunt me.

One time my husband and I were driving from Tennessee to California... We pulled into a tiny little town and asked directions to a diner or something from a creepy old guy in overalls and no shirt (very few teeth too)...as we made turn after turn we got further and further into nowhere...the town was GONE and nothing but corn and shacks could be seen for like 15 min. I started freaking out!!!!!!! Screaming at my husband to "turn around, turn around, CHILDREN OF THE CORN, get us the hell out of here!!!'. He did, I lived to tell the tale.
