any "carrie" scholars out there?

does anyone know if the artist mentioned in carrie( derrault as painter of " sinners in the hands of an angry god" ) is an actual person? i tried to find him/ painting online and was unsuccessful.

As you must know already, it´s the title of a sermon by Johnatan Edwards,an eighteenth century calvinist (I just searched for it on the wikipedia),I knew it was some sort of speech done by some bible basher though...
