Can anyone tell me where/how I can obtain a video/CD of The Shining (Kubrick) and/or Christine that hasn't been butchered by the censors? I have seen 144minute version of The Shining, but the video was cut to 118mins... and also with Christine and The Dead Zone bits were cut for video release. I think this habit of butchery is a crime. Of all our films only one (The Dead Zone) has, in small print, an admittance of editing. They tell you this is THE film but it isn't, it's equal to "highlights from".
If anyone can help we would be very grateful.

Hi and welcome :smile2:

Have you tried Amazon.com or eBay?

i'm just curious since i see you're from England waxwing but... is this a common thing over there? because i've owned several copies of The Shining on both video and DVD and all of them were 144 minutes... yes ebay and amazon would probably be your best bet to find the full versions...
