The only time I'm aware of that he will re-read a book of his own is if it is connected to a new story he is about to write. :smile2:

Hi,

Does he not often listen to the audiobook when he's doing that, Ms Mod? Vis Dark Tower when he wrote 5,6, & 7.

Long days and pleasant nights

If he's taking a road trip and there's an audio available, that's often how he'll do it.

I remember him responding to that question in an interview once by saying, "Why would I? I know how they all end!"

I wonder if he ever hopes they'll turn out differently this time (the way I do when I read Pet Sematary or DT-VII).

With all the books he's written , i would imagine you'd have to go back and reread if your going to tie a character into a new story. I wonder what he think's of his earlier works. Does he have a favorite and one he wished he didn't publish?

i was curious if maybe he re-reads them, like maybe he's bored one day and he picks one up just to pass the time?

Hi,

Didn't Sai King once say that he couldn't remember writing most of Cujo? I think it was in On Writing.

I wonder if he ever read it to see what it was about or how he went about that.

Imagine Sai King sitting wherever and picking up a cover-less Cujo only to read it for the first time and love it and spending a whole day trying to figure out who wrote it!

I know, worthless fake-dreams. :sleepy:

Long days and pleasant nights
