I'm gonna start this thread like most people do on every message board on the entire internet: "I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't want to search the entire forum"...
I was wonder which of Stephen King's books have been his most selling of all time. Which one of his
1. Novels
2. Short story collections
3. Non-fiction books
is his best selling books? Anyone know this?

In spite of the claims made on the book covers and in articles, etc., I don't know if anyone has those statistics. To the best of my knowledge, no one has been compiling the sales figures from the various publishers (and that would also mean gathering them from the non-U.S. publishers) in a format that would give a breakdown by title.

That would be extremely interesting, i wonder if he is one of MOST, read authors? He certainly is read everywhere, and in many languages.

It would be interesting to know for sure. I would think so though. Like you said his work is everywhere, and has been translated to many languages. I would be very surprised if he was not one of the most read authors.

I have heard that the only thing that has out sold Sai King is the Holy Bible. I don't know if it's true or not but I heard that.

I heard the same about Lord of the rings, so I wouldn't count on it :)

I didn't have time to verify the information, but this site (http://www.hawes.com/no1_f_a.htm%23K) has them listed.

They even changed the rules about the list after Steve took up 6 of the #1 spots in the same week when The Green Mile was being released in installments. :smile2:

Hi,
That's unfortunate - they didn't change the music charts when the Beatles were 1-5.

Nevermind.

well I mean, all his books (minus rage, but it would be) are still in print and easy to find in bookstores. In many stores its as if he has his own section which should say something.
