SK has been known to quote Bruce Springsteen once or twice. Does anybody know whether he is a fan of The Boss (as I am), and does he share Bruce's pro-Democrat political leanings?

Yes, he's a fan of Bruce Springsteen and yes, he's a Democrat.

Bruce Springsteen is like a fine wine... he only gets better with age. Did anyone catch his superbowl performance? I was beside myself with excitement.

Hi,

Indeed, he's quoted him several times and this to say in the Preface for the Uncut The Stand -

'Bruce Springsteen would seem to make an interesting Larry Underwood, if he ever chose to try acting (and, based on his video's, I think he would do very well....'

Born to Run , I still say that is one of the best albums ever done. (most of his earlier works are great.)

I never caught that before, but I think he would make a good Larry too.:smile2:

Hi,

Yes, me too, and I was talking to Kim about it when it was live, what an exciting show!

My son just arrived and we're all going to see them when he plays Glasgow in July - Woo Hoo!

Long days and pleasant nights

Thanks for the responses. In the 70's and 80's, I'm not sure what I anticipated more keenly, a new Springsteen album or a new SK novel. They were the best in their chosen fields, and have still got what it takes. I would have to vote for Born To Run and The Stand as their best works, but they are difficult choices.
