Achmed here... (No keeling anyone in this thread promise;-))
and as Ms Mod and others pointed out a lot of new threads here and definitely the news is focused on negative or scary stuff in the world today.
So as Spidey (thankee sai) sent me a dog pic that reminded me of my old friend Ren (from the Ren & Stimpy show), I thought what we need is a happy happy Joy Joy thread where all the posts should be of a positive light that will make people feel good. Positive vibes only.
so post some positive things in this thred about (NO POLITICS, RELIGION or other opinionated subjects unless it is about the best-est baseball team ever, which is a fact, - the NY yankees;-))
So my entry which inspires me to no end

The Sully---yah the olbermans video matching some video with the unbelievable call Sullengberger made so calmly to air traffic control when he knew his engines were shot than made a landing better than most pilots make on land in the hudson river.
he had to be liked stoned or sleeping --it is AMAZING --so if he can be this calm when his plane is spiraling towards doom, WTF do we have to get upset about--so when i feel rage know I am thinkin of The Sully (his calmness on that tape -why would i have anything to get upset about??)
so a big happy happy joy joy to Sully the calmest coolest Dude on the Planet IMO...
All add some stuff here daily lets get the mojo going positive!

Here's my happy happy joy joy:
My 3 year old made me laugh really hard this morning. She was holding our cat like she was a baby and trying to get her to drink from a toy bottle and the cat meowed. She said, "Oh, momma, she said her first word!" I said, "What was her first word?" She says "I don't know mom, I don't speak cat. Duh."

My coworker brought in her adorable 5-week-old daughter, dressed in a pink & green argyle sweater and fuzzy pink socks.
I got a favorable review at work & also a bonus (not anywhere near what the CEOs get LOL).

My college roommate now performs in a comedy improv group, and my husband and I have a sitter and we're going to go see her tonight! I'm so excited to see her, she was a huge help to me in college (I was awkward and didn't fit in) and I'm really happy about having a date, too :)
Happy happy joy joy!

It was recently my 5th wedding anniversary. We have been together for 10 years and my husband and soul mate still makes me laugh at least once a day. Today he got his mum a card for mothers day which said something like 'only lucky boys like me have a wonderful mummy like you.' (He is 41) He then stuck a photo of himself in the middle making a ridiculous face. It was very childish but his Mum has dementia and will laugh at it which is important.

Thanks to everybody in this post!! And on this message board!! Reading the posts in this thread has made me very happy. Being on this message board has made me very happy. I feel like I have lots of friends all over the planet!! My god - I just read what I wrote and it is sooo sweet - but I don't care!! I love hearing good news. Hearing stories about people actually being humane to one another are always welcome. Occasionally, I find that I need to be reassured about the human race. Then I see or hear about a simple act of kindness or see children running and laughing and having a good time and I am reassured.

Just the other day I was playing with my 13 month old niece, and I was trying to get her to say "All gone." But she wouldn't say it. Tonight I got a call from my sister. She says, " Well I got to say thank you." I say, "Why?" She replies, "Well you know the baby gate we have in the kitchen doorway? Your niece just threw a toy over it and turned around, put one hand up, and said "All gone!" So thanks once again. Priceless.:biggrin2:

Iīm telling my son not to fart on porpouse,Iīm telling him itīs rude and dirty, and he, as a grown up boy shouldnīt do it and only babies do that, and I donīt care if that kid Albert at the school does it,and so on.What does he do?He letīs go a really noisy one, right in front of me.I can see he hasnīt done it on porpouse this time so,what can I do?Nothing. He sorts that inner conflict out by saying:

I was having a bad day and my wife says "Whats wrong?" I say "I can't find my own butt!" So very calmly my three year old son says "Daddy, it's behind you." and I almost hurt myself laughing. He's like whats so funny. The innocence of it was so pure and I won't forget it!

Me and Mama woke up, and we weren't on fire, under water, lookin up at an ax murderer (or even the more common, kitchen knife wielding ones), being handcuffed and indicted, or *gasp**gassssp* audited...all water off a ducks back from that point on:smile2:.
I can get happy just thinkin' 'bout being happy...that kinda be happy plan, never seems to work out all that too swell thinking the other way around...that can soooo certainly ruin a perfectly joyful cool, dry, lawyer free, ax murderless morning:wink2:!

Hi,
I made toasted sandwiches for everybody in the house Saturday night and got my first "thank you" from my family members in my entire life.
I cried on the spot.
Okay, well that wasn't so happy happy joy joy, but it was amazing. I was waiting for that "thank you" for sixteen years, and never got it until then.
Made me very happy, and I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
Long days and pleasant nights

My old, 2-story farmhouse really, really, really needs a coat of paint but after getting 3 estimates on having it done (I'm physically not able to do it anymore), I quickly realized I can't afford it. My daughter and son-in-law who live near me contacted my other 2 kids who live 2 and 3 hours away respectively and they are all going to come here on Mother's Day and scrape and paint as much as they can. They are hoping to get the whole first story done that day then return on subsequent weekends to get the upper story completed. They all have families of their own and very busy lives. I was touched beyond belief that they were willing to give up several of their free weekends to come help me out. My kids = happy, happy, joy, joy!!! :biggrin2:

My hhjj is that I can't find any work, the bills are mounting, the savings are dwindling, and I really don't know how I'm going to afford car insurance. A few years ago I would have been freaking out. I don't know - maybe it's because I'm getting a little older but I'm not really that concerned. I know I'll find a way and that is the happiest feeling of all for me.
Here's a little story by someone named Bob Benson. It's called Discouraged.
As I was driving home from work one day, I stopped to watch a local Little League baseball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-baseline, I asked one of the boys what the score was. "We're behind 14 to nothing," he answered with a smile. "Really," I said. "I have to say you don't look very discouraged." "Discouraged?" the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face.
"Why should we be discouraged? We haven't been up to bat yet."
HHJJ to you all today and nice thread!

My oldest son, who just turned 10 on Tuesday, was listening to my husband and I discussing color swatches for paint about a month ago.
"Mom?" he asks. "Isn't a swatch like a watch or something?"
"There's a watch they call a swatch because they make it in Switzerland, but we're not talking about that kind of swatch," I tell him. I then proceed to explain to him what a color swatch is, but he's staring out the window, and I can see the gears turning in his little brain. He is quiet for about 2 minutes or so, and then he says this: "Well, isn't it a good thing that they don't make watches in Croatia?"
I swear to God, I pissed myself laughing right there in the front seat of the car!
