In a current thread someone asks if anyone has met Mr King. Some of you in this board are fortunate indeed to have done so. Apart from his fiction, I am always fascinated by the extra he gives his readers. Most of his books contain
any number of different forms of information. For the majority of us it is our
chance to sit down and shoot the breeze. Maybe I'm just blowing out gas.

That's nice. You must be a natural born listener :smile2:

I agree with you Emarx. I will probably never get to meet him in person but I too like to "sit down and shoot the breeze" with him in his forwards and such.:smile2:

I will probably never have the chance to even see him in person even from a long distance...unless he does some sort of tours to promote his books in Belgium but I guess thats a little farfetched:sad:.Would be cool though to see the person behind all the movies and books,a person with an extraordinary gift of writing the style he does.I'm actually jealous of you guys who have actually seen or even met him!

Figuratively, I guess we have all met him. Is that what you are asking? In his writing he bares his mind and soul as do all good writers. Giving us glimpses into the inner workings of their thoughts. When it's done as honestly as Stephen King does it, we connect with it because we recognize it in ourselves. Even the dark thoughts...mwa ha ha ha ha

Sai King says his books are his way of know us and our way of knowing him. And he is considered a very good friend indeed!

Yes, I've met enough of him in his "Dear Constant Reader", where he takes the time to say hello and share a little story behind the story. How many people in your everyday lives take the time to stop and want to 'include' you. Luckily I have alot but always am grateful when it happens. Thank you Stephen.

Well, there was this rest stop down on the Florida Turnpike.. I was in the ladies stall with my woman and I was uh hem, instructing her on her ways.. And this guy walks out of the mens room across the way and starts listening in on our conversation.. To make a long story short he beats the ... eh never mind. You'd never beleive me anyhow. ;)

I haven't, although I would like to in a book signing setting. I think if I met him outside of that, I would be embarrassingly star-struck.
