of course you have a choice, unless your electricity has been disconnected. ( which I certainly hope is not the case.)
I maybe have been misunderstood. I wasn't asking people to participate. I was wondering if people were going to participate. I just thought it would be interesting to see what the census was on the board.:smile2:

This is great info. I will take part! I think it would be fun to do things by candle light for one hour...could probably do it longer. I will be taping the light switches "OFF" because I have kids ages 14, 12 and nine who are chronic "light-leaver-oners"! Thanks!

I keep my lights off all the time, anyway, but I do it for selfish reasons.

I thought this was about wrestling at first. LOL

I will do my part to contribute to this worthy cause. Recently, I changed 90% of the lightbulbs in our house with the curly flouresents and my energy bill dropped $80! In one month! The coldest month of the year!

If I can save money and help the environment at the same time, you can count me in!

Hey, we are having this in Australia tomorrow night as well... but here it is run by Earth Hour. 8.30pm tomorrow night - everything will go off... computers, TV's, lights. All capital cities will be turning off their lights too. We had it last year and it was amazing.

How many turned theirs lights out? I personally found it very relaxing. Lit a few candles( safe within lanterns from the critters), sat back and just listened to time pass by.
