Which character in Stephen King's books do you most identify with? Have a special bond with?

I feel like I know Roland pretty well, granted I've forgotten a lot of pieces from those books which became apparent to me in SKT, but Roland and I have been well met. Jack Sawyer, Rosie McClendon, Dolores, Ralph Roberts. It's kinda funny....I bet if we were to really think about it we would be able to find something in almost every human character that we identified with.

Nadine from the Stand because I have always felt differently from the others. Jack Sawyer The Talisman because I had to grow up fast and be the care taker.

I think of Edgar in Duma Key, since I'd started painting again just before I started reading the book. It was a very strange coincidence, and was really inspirational for me--like a confirmation.

Larry Underwood.

As I get older I suppose I may Identify with another character at some point though.

Hi,

Larry Underwood and Eddie Dean.

The former because he was so imperfect and like me it was scary, and because Eddie was nearly a comedian like myself - yet still had that serious, lovable thing about him. :smile2:

I guess I would say Gordon LaChance because I have been through a few of the struggles that he had to deal with throughout his life.

I really like Eddie Dean. Having him there makes me like the Dark Tower a lot more.

Personally, I think the whole introduction of his character, with the whole "hide the drugs in an alternate dimension" shenanigan, is one of my favorite parts of any book.

Hmmmmm probably Ralph Roberts, not because I am old or anything, just because he is your average every day good guy, and I feel like that is me in a nutshell. :biggrin2:

Thats a tough one...I always felt like I had a connection with Jack Torrance because of the way he struggled through his life and with redemption and trust. I cant say I've ever experienced that sort of thing of that level being young and yet to fully experience life but his character was so deep in his mindset and evreything that had happened to him I really felt for him when I read every page of the Shining right up to the end. I've never read another book were the charcter jumps of the page like Jacky boy.

all of them i guess. maybe trish. girl who loved tom gordon. although all i ever played was catcher. a big 'un. yep, that's me. would have been too embarrassing for right field. some of the other girls on the team had more testosterone than the boys. not that there's anything wrong with that. put me in coach, i'm ready to play, i could be, centerfield.
