I know that this has most likely been asked before but I hope not. So anyway; who's your favorite villian in any of SK's novels?

For me that's not such an easy question since I haven't read enough of his novels yet. I mean I could say one person but then that might change so I'll just let you guys decide!

Hi,

Welcome to the MB, and keep posting!

Randall Flagg in his many incarnations for me (Marten Broadcloak, Walter O'Dim, the Man in Black etc).

But dishonourable mentions for Andres Linoge, Greg Stillson and Norman Daniels among others and the more I think about it the more great villians I can think of (Chummy Burnside, I could go on and on LOL).

Long days and pleasant nights

Too funny how I always thought of him as Walter more than Randall, but I love the Stand and experienced it first.

My favorite villain would have to be The Fisherman so far. From Black House. I'm not done with the book yet, but so far he is by far the most gruesome.

A little Off Topic, but I'm most disappointed in the Crimson King and Mordred as a villain.

Christine bares mentioning too though!

Atropos from Insomnia always gave me the heebies he was so tricky, and after just finishing IT I would have to say that Pennywise is a very effective villain!

We sure do have a great selection of Villains to choose from!

I think The Man in The Black Suit is pretty darn nasty- 'Come here fisher-boy!"

Today he gets my vote!

Long days and pleasant nights.

If I were to award medals for the three best villains they would be as follows:
Bronze would go to Annie Wilkes
Silver would go to Pennywise
The Gold would go to Flagg

Hi,

Definitely Randall Flagg. Watching him stroll down the highway in The Stand was the moment I met the personification of evil, and he will be with me always.

Walter Padick all the way! :smile2:

All of the incarnations of Randall Flagg/Walter Odem would be my number one, but Pennywise the clown and Stark from The Dark Half are close seconds for me.

Norm Daniels, Flagg, Mrs Carmody, Blaine the Mono (god I hated that train!), and the annoying young girl in The Stand (I forget her name, she was really mean to Tom Cullen and Nick Andros) to name a few.

Flagg is an obvious choice. Others: Rainbird from Firestarter (pretty cold guy), Morgan Sloat from Talisman and Joubert from Gerald's Game. Hard to choose a favorite.

Always been a fan of Pennywise here. Anything that can turn itself into any person's deepest fear and nightmare gets my vote.

As far as Flagg goes, (for the mini-series) I always pictured Gene Simmons from KISS in that role. Charismatic, yet soooooo sinister looking!

I have to go with Blaine the Mono.
