The story picks up following  the events of The Gunslinger Born and the consequences of  the showdown between Roland’s tet and the Big Coffin hunters in Hambry.  The series will consist of 5 monthly installments which will later be compiled in a hardcover edition.  The team of writers and illustrators who collaborated for The Gunslinger Born were called on again for The Long Road Home.

Treachery is the third arc in Marvel's Dark Tower series. Roland and his Ka-tet have returned to Gilead. Unfortunately, Roland has held onto the evil Maerlyn’s Grapefruit and grown obsessed with gazing into its pinkish depths regardless of the negative effects it has taken on his body.
