How about an interactive Ms Mod, tied into a VR helmet and body suit she has to wear from now on! Then we could all make her stumble around the office and bump into things! Or jump off something.... Hmmmm.... Maybe get a cup of coffee? Tell us we are special and awesome?

But seriously, my thing is the navigation is a little counter-intuitive. As far as a suggestion for new content, I think some way to maybe be lead to a personal selling house (I don't know if Steve has a vehicle to sell his books from here in any way or can do this legally) for the books or to a site Steve approves to buy the ones you may not have would be nice. An events calendar maybe? Detailing Steve's scheduled appearances, releases, etc. Also maybe being able to go "outside" and get chased back in by Jack Torrence or Cujo or something, just as pure novelty would be cool too. Maybe if you go in certain places "things" get you and you die and have to go back to the lobby. This feature you could also make it monsters from different stories. You could also make it a "trivia" item where you have to identify the creature that just killed you.

I am just throwing monkey poop at the wall here...

How did you get that memo?! That's exactly what we had planned for Phase 2.

Do you mean being able to throw monkey poop at the wall (which should ALWAYS be an option IMHO)? Or was that a serious reply?

Oh tone of conversation, wherefore art thou in the posted word online?

Was feeling a little cheeky the day I answered, I think. Although the throwing monkey poop idea could come in handy at times. We are currently working on Phase 2 of The Office and the navigation will be greatly enhanced so that it will feel much more like a walk through. We've have a lot of ideas for additions and extra features including one that will tie into the weather in Bangor so you will see the seasons, day/night IRT. Selling books is not something that will happen, though, as he prefers to leave the selling to those who are in the business to do it and we don't have the staff to handle shipping them out. We do have an events calendar on the site already but I admit I haven't made as good use of it as I could--haven't formed that habit yet. Thanks (seriously) for all the suggestions.

Well, I also noticed that was most likely in response to you wearing a VR suit and being remote controlled. Which is still a FABULOUS idea, no?

In regards to the book sales idea, it was more maybe a link out to a site Steve likes or approves of, though I admit a lack of understanding of the publishing/distribution business. Maybe logistics/legalities, etc? In my mind I imagined a book case with all the works there. You can click on one and it opens or whatever, provides a synopsis, then a link to go somewhere else to buy would be provided. Might be able to generate ad revenue. Also for newbies to Steve's entire body of work, it might be a good way to get them interested in and increase the sales of older works. In the same regard, something for the movies might be nice also.

We've intentionally never done that sort of thing because there's no way to do it without ticking off all the other booksellers who don't get mentioned.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. well, the virtual bookshelf might still be a good idea just to act as an interactive, comprehensive list. Maybe include first ed. artwork, etc...

I definitely like the idea of clicking on the books on the shelves and getting a synopsis and different cover arts, etc. Also the TV showing trailers for the movies, or even more book trailers, like the one for Dome. More interactivity with the map definitely, like click on the town dots and it'll show you which stories take place in the town, and maybe even like someone already said, maps of the towns themselves. Wasn't there a map of Derry in one of the books? I can't remember. Can't wait 'til the upgrade is done!

There should be an interactive book shelf complete with novels that Steve has read recently and would recommend. I'm always on the look for new books to read and this would certainly be a great amenity for me and other book lovers.
