Hello, I'm a newbie too. I just finished reading Salem's Lot and LOVED it. It's the third King book I've read, Cycle of the Werewolf and Pet Sematary. I had set King aside for no reason for quite a few years until I read Salem's Lot and I plan to dive right in to him again. I've got a list going, next being Misery I think.

Anyway, it'll be cool to chat with you all.

    Hi from the UK!
Brief 'King' history in my life. Went travelling last year and found a copy of Cell in a hostel. Since then I've barely read a book that wasn't Stephen King. Cant get enough of his writing. Miss discussing literature with people since finishing studying at university, so hoping to have some grand chats on the MB
    Tarrah!

I made it! Thanks for the help guys! Love SK (duh, I'm here aren't I), have since around 4th grade. I read Firestarter and reached the point where the shop agent fell off the porch and was skewered through the neck by a garden stake and knew I would have to read them all! I look forward to chatting... finally people who get it when I say "What holds up the turtle? Why it's turtles all the way down!"

I haven't been here in a really long time, so I feel like a newcomer. What I'm curious to know is if the board still shuts down sometimes. I remember that being why I stopped logging on.. The breaks got me distracted on other things.

Please tell me the board never shuts down now!!

I'm gonna go re-introduce myself. Thanks for everything - for even having a message board! I don't mean to sound complain-y it's actually the truth, it's just what happened & I hope I can stick around.

    xoxo - kt

The public side of the Board still shuts down on the weekends and other times which will be listed in the News section thread called Board Closings. Since you were here last, we've added new options for posting such as Social Groups and Profile posting, though, and those are open 24/7 to alleviate any Message Board withdrawal symptoms during the public side closures.

    Hey guys,

My name's Adam - I'm a freelance writer and film critic out of Charlotte, NC. I write for moviehole.net and beyond being a King fan, I'm an obsessed Star Wars fan. Being as I get paid to talk about movies all day, I saw the thread on the dark tower potential casting and had to throw my two cents in - so here I am, a new member of King's forums - a willing and able participant in the weird.

Take your time and read all you can. Post and write to your hearts content.

    Namaste
