The very first time I read The Long Walk about 10 years ago, I immediately envisioned it made into a movie, and knowing now that Frank Darabont has the rights to make it possible, please don't make us wait any longer...please...!

I know it's a kind of twin to Desperation but I'd like to see The Regulators. But not like Desperation - which seemed to trivialize the story - one that ran closer to the book. Yes, would like to see that.
Now that they've got the technology The Talisman would make a great movie
YES ! this ! even a made-for-TV movie would be good. It would not need
to be edited at all...not even for length !
also "Blaze" would be a fine movie of the week !
S.K. has enough short stories (and longer ones)
that you could make a TV series out of them
much like Twilight Zone was. --new show every week.

I would love to see It made into a one or two season television series on one of the cable channels - AMC, HBO, etc. That would be my dream scenario.
I agree with you 100%! This would make an EXCELLENT movie (if done right, of course). Most important, in my mind, is the social commentary aspect of the story. They MUST retain this. It's a smart story. Also (also pertaining to the social commentary), the Vietnam link/metaphor MUST stay. This was one of my favorite aspects of the story, it's use as a metaphor for the Draft, and war in general.
